THE POSITION

The Information Technology (IT) Manager will play a critical role in the smooth and efficient functioning of the organization’s IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize IT systems, infrastructure, procedures, and policies. Showcasing strong leadership skills, technical prowess, knowledge of ISMS (Information Security Management System), and ability to manage a diverse team, the IT Manager will drive innovation and excellence within the department. In addition, the IT Manager will align IT systems with business objectives, manage complex IT projects, implement innovative technological solutions, and ensure the security and integrity of the core infrastructure and IT operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of eight years of experience in IT management or a similar role, along with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Develop and implement innovative IT strategies that align with the organization’s overarching goals and objectives.
  2. Develop IT budgets and resource plans aligned with strategic priorities and business requirements.
  3. Conduct financial forecasting and projections for IT expenditures, considering factors such as technology upgrades, maintenance costs, and anticipated growth or changes in business requirements.
  4. Lead digital transformation initiatives.
  5. Take charge of the day-to-day IT operations.
  6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of IT policies, procedures, and guidelines that govern the organization’s IT operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational objectives.
  7. Implement and adhere to relevant frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies), and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards, to guide IT governance, risk management, and service delivery practices.
  8. Contribute to the People Operations Function of the Corporation by always leading by example and fostering a high-performance company culture that emphasizes customer focus, quality, continuous improvement and learning.
  9. Provide direction to employees by communicating job expectations, appraising job results, determining training needs, coaching, counseling, disciplining and recognizing employees; and enforcing policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
