THE POSITION

The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate processing and recording of the Corporation’s payroll in accordance with legal requirements and to contribute to a high-performance work culture.

DUTY STATION

HEADQUARTERS, BELMOPAN

Education & Experience

1. An Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field

2. At least three years of Payroll/Accounting experience

3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and HRMS

4. Certificate in Labor Laws of Belize

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Process payroll, statutory withholdings and other deductions with 100% accuracy and within the established timeframes.

2. Administer benefit programs relating to Group Life and Health Insurance, Savings Plan and Staff Loans.

3. Prepare annual income tax reconciliation.

4. Prepare SSB Salary Forms, periodic payroll and benefits reports.

5. Ensure that all compensation and statutory withholdings comply with company policies and legal regulations.

6. Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and bank statements.

7. Maintain accurate records.

8. Address employee queries related to compensation, benefits, taxes, and deductions.

9. Keep up to date with payroll best practices and changes to employment regulations.

10. Handle all data with sensitivity and confidentiality.
