THE POSITION
The Retail Relations Manager provides oversight of the branch office network whose primary focus is to develop and maintain relationships with retail clients inclusive of portfolio management.
DUTY STATION
HEADQUARTERS, BELMOPAN
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Certificates in Credit/Loan Delivery (experience in developmental loans/projects would be an advantage), Supervisory Management, and at least 5 years of experience in both disciplines
- At least 3 years’ experience in loan portfolio management
- Certificate in Microsoft Office Applications (Advanced)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Excellent relationship management on how to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking
- Expertise in loan products, credit policies, and risk management for individuals and MSE’s
- Resilience and stress management skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior
- Strong analytical and people management skills
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Credit Delivery & Administration
- Assess and approve loan applications within authority, ensuring adherence to policies.
- Maintain a high-quality loan portfolio by overseeing credit delivery and administration functions.
- Conduct branch visits to review systems, provide guidance, and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and monitor loan activity budgets, loan collection budget, and performance reports.
- Assist in funding negotiations by providing insights into loan policies and portfolio composition.
- Evaluate branch loan portfolios, manage delinquency, and oversee loan servicing actions.
2. Collateral & Risk Management
- Ensure efficient collateral administration by appraising loan collateral regularly.
- Monitor and review property appraisals for loan recovery processes.
3. Organizational & Strategic Development
- Contribute to corporate policy recommendations on credit delivery and administration.
- Stay updated on banking sector trends and participate in strategic planning.
4. Leadership & Team Development
- Guide and mentor employees, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Identify training needs and implement development programs.
- Promote teamwork and motivate employees to achieve corporate goals.
5. Administrative & Compliance Functions
- Develop and implement the department’s annual work plan and budget.
- Prepare reports for management, board, and external regulatory agencies.
- Perform other related duties as required.
