City of Belmopan, Cayo District: May 16, 2025 – The Development Finance Corporation (DFC) of Belize is pleased to announce that Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Henry N. Anderson, has been elected to the Board of Directors of ALIDE, the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions, for the 2025–2026 term.
Mr. Anderson was first appointed in 2024, becoming one of the few representatives from the Caribbean on the ALIDE Board. Over the past year, he has played a pivotal role in promoting deeper regional collaboration, amplifying the Caribbean’s development priorities, and advocating for sustainable financing solutions for small island developing states.
His election is a resounding endorsement of his vision and leadership, and signals continued confidence from his peers across Latin America and the Caribbean.
“This is an honour I deeply appreciate,” said Mr. Anderson. “Our region faces complex and urgent challenges—but also holds immense opportunity. I am committed to working with ALIDE and its members to expand access to development finance and champion innovative solutions that move our people and economies forward.”
This milestone not only reflects Mr. Anderson’s contributions but also reinforces DFC’s growing role as a thought leader and collaborative partner within the regional development finance ecosystem.
