56th ALIDE General Assembly 2026| May 22, 2026 – Today, during the 56th General Assembly of the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE) held in 2026, Belize was officially selected as the host country for the 57th ALIDE General Assembly in 2027. The announcement marks a historic milestone for Belize, as it will be the first time the prestigious regional event is hosted in the country.
The event will be hosted by the Development Finance Corporation (DFC), bringing together over 200 top-level executives and representatives from leading development banks, commercial financial institutions, multilateral agencies, and international financial organizations from across Central and South America, the Caribbean, and the wider Western Hemisphere.
The annual ALIDE General Assembly is recognized as one of the region’s premier gatherings focused on development finance, economic growth, innovation, and strategic collaboration. Belize’s selection as host for the 57th General Assembly reflects growing confidence in the country’s role within the regional financial and development landscape.
Hosting the General Assembly presents a landmark opportunity for Belize to showcase its vibrant culture, warm hospitality, investment potential, and world-renowned natural attractions to an influential international audience of financial leaders and development partners.
