Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides executive level administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He/she is responsible to organize the executive office and efficiently perform a diverse range of high-quality confidential administrative support duties to enhance the executive’s effectiveness. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Education & Experience
- An Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an administrative role supporting a Manager/Executive.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive support to the Chief Financial Officer, ensuring a well-organized and efficient executive office.
- Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact, facilitating communication with key stakeholders, including the Board, government officials, clients, and employees.
- Budget Coordination: Lead the coordination and support the preparation of the Corporation’s Budgets.
- Records Management: Maintain a streamlined records system and ensuring confidentiality of documents.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research, prepare reports, and assist the Chief Financial Officer with monitoring strategic goals and other initiatives.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare reports for statutory bodies, the Central Bank of Belize, the Government of Belize, and lending agencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Communication: Proficient in English, with strong verbal, written, proofreading, and interpersonal skills.
- Meeting and Event Management: Capable of accurately taking minutes and organizing meetings/events.
- Organization and Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple, unexpected responsibilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
- Professionalism and Confidentiality: Exercises sound judgment, discretion, and ethical behavior in handling sensitive information.
- Detail-Oriented and Analytical: Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Independence and Initiative: Works effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating proactive behavior.
- Interpersonal Skills: Works well with diverse leadership styles.
